and Kobe is: MJ plays more in the paint, he posted up a lot of times; Kobe stays in the paremeter a lot, shoots a lot more 3s(he is a better shooter).
The result is different as well. Reason I think is, when you plays in the post, you have basically a 360 degree as your passing angle; While you play in the paremeter, you have less than 180 degree as your passing angle. So, MJ caused more damage than Kobe.
All these experts say NBA is a big man's game, meaning inside-out game is a fundamental stragety, that is why 90 percent of the championship teams have a legit big man in the middle. MJ was able to win without any great centers are because he himself plays in the paint.
