蛇鹫

蛇鹫，一种非洲食肉鸟。这种长腿鸟，高达4英尺 （1.2米），头上长着钩状的喙，和鹰的喙相似。全身的羽毛呈灰蓝色，但翅尖、腿、尾巴和冠是黑色的。这种鸟的英文名secretary bird源自于它长长的冠羽，伸向头后，有点像办公室职员们夹在耳后的羽毛笔。蛇鹫因捕食蛇而出名，但它也吃啮齿动物、大昆虫、小鸟和蛋。它们步行捕食，生活在撒哈拉沙漠以南的开阔草地上，这里稀疏地分布着树木。 据说，雌雄蛇鹫终身为伴，它们用树枝在小树的顶端筑巢。通常一窝下两只蛋，呈白色带有红棕色的条纹。(By 百度）
