非常惊喜 merganser came to my home town.  I walked very slowly to the 湖的东岸， the lovely birds swam away, then I walked to the east side of lake, then they  left again.  I did same thing  again and again.  Finally I gave up. 我只好远远 （about 60 yards） 的照了几张（500mm）。  方大后很不清楚。  我的问题是Are mergansers very  alert ? could I try to close to them within 30 yards?  how far you can close to them? 如何照好？

 I went there three times. I really want to get a good one.  Thanks ahead.
