Well, I will NEVER try this again. The zoom ring on my new VR II lens is breaking off. Off it to Nikon for warranty service soon.

As you point out, the background is so important for this technique. Finding the right angle is a must.

Also, as I was turning the zoom, my focus point would go off to the right of the target. Need to set the tracking time to long so it is locked on the horse.

This is just to find out if I understand the technique. Which I do now. As I said, don't try this with your expensive lens.
