Let's compare with apple to apple (not 17-55 vs 70-200).
Any one opened/repaired lens known; af-s spin less 1 cycle (360) to finish the focus. Can you guess how many spins on the camera screw to finish 1 cycle( handreds?)? and how fast your screw driver spins? (depend on camera)
