But here is a theoretical analysis. Leica M series are not SLR cameras. So for wide angle lenses, the clearance between the lens and the sensor can be made significantly smaller when compared to SLR's counterpart. In other words, even if some one makes a Leica to EF adapter, the lens will have to be placed further away from the sensor, making it unable to focus objects at far away. You may only able to focus really close objects.
