1.Enlarge telephoto lens by 1.5X
2.Only use center portion of lens, can get better results from cheaper lens
3.DX format lens are easier to design and cheaper to build.
4.Most important, DX format DSLR is affordable. Not many poeple have $8000 to spend on full frame 1Ds
