炊烟缭绕“郎木寺”，晨辉斜照秀山川。

去年秋季的川北之旅，途经郎木寺一游。我被那奇特的小镇“郎木寺”深深地吸引了。

郎木寺不是一座寺庙，而是一个小镇，一个川甘边境上的西北小镇。海拨3600米左右，郎木寺为藏传佛教寺院。“郎木”为藏语“仙女”之意。

它曾经当选了2005年CCTV中国魅力名镇。是什么让这个不起眼的中国西北小镇在国际上如此闻名呢？这里还有一段故事：
上个世纪40年代，一个美国传教士踏上了这块土地，在这里一住就是十几年，直到1957年才离开。在这个藏区小镇上，他完全融入了藏民的生活，和他们同吃同住同放牧。十几年的时间，郎木寺秀美的山川，豪放粗犷的牧民生活，给他的生命留下了难以磨灭的印记，也让他从心里认识了这个有着悠久历史的神奇民族。回国之后，他用手中的笔将这些经历变成了一本书《Tibet life》，就是《西藏生活》。
这本书在美国出版后，引发了巨大的轰动，让西方人知道了青藏高原东缘的群山、草原、寺院和藏民族。于是，一代又一代的西方人开始向往这里，来寻找《西藏生活》中这个神秘而让人迷恋的西北小镇“郎木寺”。
