入门相机：Canon Rebel XTi or Nikon D40X?

本人喜好美景/人照片。在此版观摩良久，看到许多好照片，颇为艳羡。近来得闲，也想弄个专业一点的相机摆弄摆弄。比较了一下 Canon Rebel XTi 和 Nikon D40X， 觉得两款相机性能和价位都相近。想听一下各位意见，那一款比较适合入门者（朋友戏称为advanced beginner)? 多谢！
