This series is not about how good those pictures are.
#1 it is not a good picture by any means, what I am trying to illustrate is how 50mm F1.8 can do in tough situations.
#1 was taken on a boat tour, it was a snapshot, not a posed model shots, so the forground is distracting, the overall lighting condition is bad, however when using Nikon D100 even at ISO 400, the noise is still high compared to today's DSLR, 400=1600? ( that's how I feel compared with my D80 )
Because it's F1.8, so that's why it enabled me to take a shot at F2, while retain some of the ambient light, otherwise the background will be all dark if I use F2.8 or lower.
Again, thanks for taking the time to comment, all I saying here is not to showcase my pictures, rather to show how a $100 lens can do while some more expensive lens may have difficulties in situations like the museum.
