Diablo 风景优美，水利资源丰富，1919年开始水利工程，1930年建成Diablo 大坝（正是美国水利大建设时代）,水坝高119米，是当时全世界最高的水坝。那时只有火车作为交通工具能运输建筑所需的材料。后来修了公路，1954年铁路全部退役。
