One more trick

Supposedly if you place the battery on cold snow/ice, the batter will recharge itself. Here is a real story:

An american went climbing somewhere in south America by himself. He had a pre-paid cell phone with him. Then, he had a fall and broke his leg and immobilized. So he pulled out his cell phone to call for help (it did have signal). But to his horror, his phone minutes ran out so he could not make a call! But he kept his phone on anyway. When the battery ran out, he would place it on the snow to be charged (a trick he learned from boyhood). After some time (days), the phone company telemarketer called to ask him if he would like to purchase additional minutes (and he was saved after that).
