to that, answer is the digital photo without necessary resolution. you could try taking some night sky photos with a digital camera. you see, with regular traditional camera and regular film, one could capture stars by long exposure time, but you can't do that with digital camera. maybe, apollo's pictures don't have long enough exposure to show stars, niel armstrong also don't remember seeing stars.
