So what do you think the Communists should have done? Just sit there waiting to be all slaughtered by Jiang? Jiang was so soft on the Japanese invaders & giving up entire northeast China to the Japs without firing a shot. He would be considered a traitor in the US or any other country. He & his party were not qualified to lead China.

When Taiwan wants to declare independance, then the main land China will do exactly what US did - to use force to unite Taiwan.

By the way, you don't think the ordinary American people suffered too during their civil war?
