You are only partially right, but you should not forget history & how the civil war started in China.

When the Communist party was founded, it had no army. It was under one government led by Doctor Sun, the president of China & the leader of the Nationalist party.

But after Doctor Sun passed away & Jiang took over power, he started turning against the Communist party. He started to slaughter the Communist party memembers & declared they were not legal. After Jiang's relentless killing of the Communists, Mao came to realize they needed to have their own armed forces.

After Japan surrendered, Mao said " we just wanted to have a job in Jiang's government & have some say in the country's politics". Jiang thought he could easily defeat the Ba Lu Jun, so he started the civil war. Jiang ruled the country & the army like a war load.

because of the great military leaders of the Communist party - like Mao, Su, Liu, lin piao, Peng, etc, Jiang was defeated. Of course the Chinese people are proud of these great leaders who won the war & founded new China. For the first time these Chinese leaders have the ball to stand up the foreign powers & won the respect from them.

Americans killed Americans in their civil war too & Americans are proud of their leaders who lead America to win the civil war in this country.
