any news sources other than People Daily or similar type of newspapers. In fact, the Chinese were prohibited to contact the non-Chinese during those time so they had no idea how the others looked at them. They were proud of themselves because everybody was equally poor and hungry. And, they had no chance to face a foreigner without survailance of somebody.

When Deng XiaoPing let people leave the country freely, the Chinese was surprised that even a tiny Dominican Republic looked down on the Chinese. Now the Chinese are fed well and fat then start to sob:"why can't I confront the 6 feet tall black kid on the street like my ancestor used to do? Hey, you, I have N-bomb, you are supposed to be scared."
