PRC was only helping Cambodia (officially). Also, Japan had taken the capital of PRC, Nan Jing during the war, while PRC didn't take Hanoi. That's a big difference.

6. The new trend of 日本人爱自己的国家 was smiliar to the style before Japan invaded China. Of course toward Japan's war time victims, it would cause alarm when history began to repeat itself.
