They wants Lin to drive and assist which they don't ask Bev to do
They ask Lin to score which they dont ask Bev to do
They want to Lin to do what Bev to do (defense and all above)

How can Lin change?

Sure if you ask Lin to just defense and nothing more. I am sure Lin will put 200% of his energy to do it. But THEY ASK HIM TO DO ALL OTHER THINGS. other wise, he would be benched.

Don't tell me he only get benched if he lost someone. Bev lost people no less than Lin.
