but not in the nba. in the nba, people recognize individual talent first and foremost, and everything else comes second. it doesn't matter lin can make everybody else play better and win the game. the guy who scores 30+ per game always gets hailed, even though at the cost of shooting only 30% with 9 turnovers. lin needs to score, or he won't go anywhere in the nba. if he can put in close to 20 per game consistently, he can do whatever he wants, and mchale wouldn't dare not to start him.
