sincerely ask Lao Mao and experienced regarding divorce

I am in NY, divorcing with my wife and she is likely to keep the custody of our only child (6 year old). My annual income is 105K and the child support calculator showing close to $1400/month. But I am 48 year old. I am wondering the chances that a judge can lower my child support to $1000/month, considering I am close to retiremwnt so I need to save more for my retire life? My wife is willing to take $1200 but I feel $1000 is the figure I can afford. We would like to avoid wasting money on court if possible.
