Domestic Violence, need help!

All,

Recently I made a big and stupid mistake, domestic violence. Both my wife and I are bad temper, the argument was caused due to a trivial issue. I feel very sorry for this. My wife filed a complaint with city police and I was charged. Instead of put-in the jail, I paid some bond to wait for the court day.

I got my wife's forgiveness. My wife agreed to withdraw the complain and charge, but the city police office told me that the case cannot be withdrawn at this time before I go to the municipal court. and I and my wife will go to the court in next week. I will plead no guilty and request the judge's mercy. I don't know if a charge against me or not. My green card (485) is pending.

If someone have information, please give me some help. How can I persuade the judge for a forgiveness. I have on experience. Very frustrated. Thank you very much.
