from where? court? it's their responsibility to verify the check. the check was "cancelled", right? you do have all the records in writing? just show the judge these docs and i believe you'll be free. If i were you, i'll just wait for letter from court to appear there with these docs. (and do not sign any letter from any other business/law office)
