非常头痛的事，请求帮助！

有人要租我的房子，给了一张money order做为定金，2天后这个人让我帮他先付他从
外州到我这里的一些托运费(少于money order的数额概3000美金)，我想也没所谓，
他说等他到了后再补上，我就给付了，因为我收到money order的当天就已放到我的
银行账上。当时我还问了帮我办事的银行工作人员，这是不是就是cash,他说是，我
问他我是不是就可以用了，他说可以用了。6天以后银行通知我说money order是假
的。后来租我房子的人也消失了。为了出租房子白白失掉了$3000，为什么假的money
order银行6天才能鉴别出来？已经报案了20几天了没有任何进展。请问 单身老猫有
何高见？当地银行想按欺骗处理作为银行的lose，但是上级银行不同意。下一步该
怎么办？？？
