stp has anwsered the questions. Looking for a new job seems the most practical at this moment. You hu*****and may want to talk to his supervisor. The situation you described seems minor; some effective communication can help. At least get some suggestions as to what to do: change to another division, or look for job as a subcontractor, etc.

It may be more than just downloading music and software. Yet I have to say using governmetn computer for no-business purposes is a violation of rules. Anyway, talk out and admit wrongdoings.
