Hotel Break-in

We went to Hershey park last summary in August and using Marriott Courtyard.
One of their employee accessed my room without my permission. Their camera
in the corridor got the photos. We lost a notebook, a camcorder, and a psp.
The local police is charging the person with stealing( something like that ).

Now the insurance company of Marriott is refusing to pay our lost and they
claimed that the hotel has notice on the back of the door said every valuable things should be put to the front desk while we are out.

I am claiming that they illegally and unnecessarily accessed my room and break the contract between us, so they should responsible for the lost.

Does anyone have similar experience ? What should I do ?
