Here is a personal experience of mine....

When i applied my first couple of Credit Card in Canada, I had only landed in Canada for a very short period of time, therefore, no enough credit history. The credit card companies pulled my US credit history and approved my applications based on those information.

Also, my suggestion don't do any illegal things unless you are absolutely no other ways. You'll never know when those things will come back to you.
