加州的規定是您需要負責30天的書面通知與當月的房租

所以您只負擔15天的房租是不合法的,至於押金，您必須等您退房之後等屋主扣除一切修理與清潔的費用之後在您正式離開30天之內要求屋主退還剩餘的部份。
(所以退房當日，您必須要求屋主與您親自檢查所有房間，並且以書面標示所有需要清潔與修理的部份，雙方簽署後才能離開，否則日後您很難釐清所有的責任與您應該負責的清潔與修繕的費用。老實說對方要您的社安號碼，您是否願意給予他是您的事，但是您的反應可能是也有些太過偏激了。
