紧急求助：speeding ticket in CA

今天被加州的cop 发了4年多来的第一张罚单，speeding ticket. 事情经过如下，急需帮助，向好心有经验的人请教。本人在今天8:30有课。在距离学校不到2miles, 通常8：10am 左右在我上班的路上（local）总有traffic。但是今天早上车辆明显比较少。因为快到学校，我的车速明显减慢，就在这时，我听到警车声，并从车后镜看到警车，因为马上需要左拐，所以在红灯变成绿箭头之后在路肩停下，等待警察，我当时并不知道自己究竟出了什么问题。警察下车到我的车前，告诉我speeding.
I asked:”what’s wrong with me?”
He said:” You were speeding”
I asked:”where?
He said:”at the cedar and bullard，you drove 55mi while the maximum is 40mi and there were two cars behind of you.”

然后，他给我”notice of appear”，上面没写fine amount. 我问”how much is fine?”
他说三个星期内你会收到一封信，里面会有fine amount. 并告诉我，”you sign this notice does not mean you are guilty, it only means that you promise to appear at the court at specified time.”
我现在有以下背景介绍一下，希望有经验的好心人帮忙应如何appeal this case.
1． 我的driving record in the past four years were very good, no traffic ticket
2． 我没有把握到底有没有speeding?我的确没有低头看odometer. 即使是speeding, 我也不清楚有没有真到55mi/hour? 对此我应如何对打?
3． 我非常确信他说我speeding 的地点是在at the cedar and bullard，但是在notice of appear 上他写的是”at the cedar and Escalon”. Bullard is 0.2 miles ahead of Escalon along the cedar street on my way to work (cedar is north-south, and both Escalon and bullard are west-east and they are parallel). 我可以用这一点在法庭上来反驳他吗？

4． 我是在过了bullard 之后至少0.3mile 时才注意到警车跟踪我，尽管警察可能认为我是在发现他之后才减速, 我非常确信在我意识到警车跟踪我之前已经主动减速, (因为快到学校需要左转的地方)。
5． 所以如果按照”notice to appear”, 我speeding 的地方是Escalon, 从Escalon 到我意识到警车要我pull over， 已经有至少0.5mi.
6． 当天稍微有些阴天，但能见度应当所还很好。
7. 这条路two lanes, 我当时在左lane,但由于在local部分快车慢车道，我确定我并没有超车，可能一开始就有两辆车在右车道一直跟在我后面。我可否以此佐证我没有超车，而且我只是follow车流？
