Car Info:
2001 BMW X5
Milage: 85000

I drove it about 500 miles before problem took place.

Car problem,

Service Engine Soon signal was on one week ago. It was taken to the BMW dealer (the car was not bought from there) for a check. We were told it is transmission problem, and it needs to be rebuilt. The cost (including labor and parts) totals about 90,000 USD.

Before buying this car, I drove it to an independent car shop for a check, and was told that there is no problem.

Paperwork,

It does say that the car is sold at "as is" condition in the paperwork.

It even says that we can not sue the dealer if there is any dispute, but go to the arbitritor.

Yesterday I went to talk with the dealer. These guys refused to take any resposibility. They said that the car was good when they sold it. The thing is the problem was there, just was not found when we bought it.
