sorry, I couldn't find the same situation from old posts, and I am confused by old posts.

For this case, the days for his residency are less than 183, so my understanding is that he is still NR for 2005.

Did you mean if he was RA at the end of 2005, no matter when he transfered f1 to h1, he is always treated as RA in 2005? I am confused about this.
