我原在一家公司上班， 作 software testing. 我们为一个政府部门提供consulting service.前段时间公司contract到期了。要重新bid. 结果我们原公司输了。合同被另外一家公司拿去。这样我也丢了工作待在家。这家新拿到合同的公司需要找人来继续作这个project.他们找到我。我就去上班了。但这时侯我原公司不知道如何知道了。他们来信说我两年内不可以这样做。他们的依据是我几年前进这家公司时签的一个non-compete aggreement.我不知道该如何办。我理解的是，如果两家公司同时在作这个project,我不可以为第二家公司作。但现在的情况是第一家公司已经out了， 和这个project没关系了， 就不存在compete的问题。
请大家给提供点信息。如何对付原公司。他们告我能赢吗？
