家人患晚期癌症，请教disability的问题

本人不工作的家庭主妇一个，家在宾州，丈夫的收入是全家的经济来源。近日意查出肠癌第四期，已经转移到右肺，另外左肺还发现有原发性的肺癌第二期。胸外科手术医生和癌症医生都建议disability.

想请教法律专家们的问题是

1.家住宾州的我们是宾州的居民，可是丈夫在新泽西上班，如果申请disable的话，是在新泽西还是在宾州申请?

2. 丈夫的工作单位可以解雇他吗? 在他目前的情况下?

3. 我们一直是加入他们单位的医疗保险，在新泽西看医生，如果失去了工作，就会失去医疗保险吧，如果是这样的话，在得到政府的医疗保险之前的医疗费用怎么办呢? 破产了也付不起那么多的费用。

4. 有一个他的同事说，他单位会给他补齐政府disable的补助与他现有收入的差额，如果真是这样的话，法律有规定他单位这样的补差额的善举能持续多久吗?

5.  Diable之后，如果付不出房贷的话，会被银行无情地收走吗?


现在是各种恐惧担心，还要面对医疗，金钱各方面的压力，有点力不从心了，特上来请教，谢谢大拿们费心解答。
