美国公民即使通过申请、宣誓入籍加拿大，也不会丧失美国国籍，

只要宣誓的誓词是例行公事、照章宣读。

事实上，只有本人明确表示了要放弃美国国籍的意图，自愿履行了放弃美国国籍的手续、并交了税，才会失去美国国籍。
