纯粹法律的回答

如果你没有接到法庭的subpoena，你可以不出庭；如果你接到subpoena，你最好出庭。我说最好的意思是没有人能够阻止你违法，但是不理睬subpoena的后果是严重的，包括以蔑视法院（contempt of court）被逮捕。

其他都是个人道德的取舍，我相信各人有自己优先轻重。
