请教老猫和各位网友关于校区超速罚单

最近吃了一张在校区超速的罚单（10mph above)！这个校区我是知道的，但从没在学生上课时路过，而且这边校区通常学生在时路边的灯会闪。这条路的限速是30，因没有闪灯（不是没看到，后来仔细看了，确实没有闪灯警告，但路边有标志Speed limit 20 when students are present) 我当时也只开了30，就被抓了。
今天去法院拿到了罚单上的细节，大多是可以想象的到的（人没认错，探测设备很准确，警察受过培训，等等）。警察提到路边有标志，关于我的话只有一句：the defendant said: "I did not see the school zone sign"。
这当然和事实不符。我对措辞很小心。当时的对话大致是：" do you know the speed limit of this road" "30" "do you know the speed limit drops to 20 when the light flashes？” “I am not aware of the flashing light".
想请教老猫和各位网友，凭这点discrepancy,到法院去contest,会有用吗？Ｏｆ　ｃｏｕｒｓｅ　Ｉcan subpoena the cop and wishfully hope he will not be present for whatever the reason---that is another story.
