I am in the similar situation, you are lucky you only have 6 month, I am stuck for a whole year.  The agent is someone I know, so I did not check details of the contract, he said it was standard.  When he showed my house, two incidents angered me, one was he left my house keys on the ground in front of the house, another time he left my door wide open.  I did not find out my contract was for 1 year until I asked him to withdraw the listing.  Then he used the excuse that his broker owns the listing, and his broker does not see a valid reason to withdraw, it was awful!  6 months has gone by, I am not letting anybody show the house.  I think youn could just wait 6 months, not waist your time to get a lawyer.  I learned my lesson, there is no 2nd time!
