I work at a hospital. The billing manager says given the information you provided, it should be routine visits. OB docs usually are not considered specialists. The best solution is talk to the doctor's office. The last option is report to your insurance company. Upcoding is treated seriously by insurance company. You are probably not the only patient they coded wrong.
