Can anybody help me

常来潜水获取知识, 获益匪浅, 在此谢过. 今年初, 自己一不小心, 车让房东当成Abandoned Vehicle给拖走, 再也拿不回了, 不知sue他们机会如何, 恳请赐教.
我在纽约州, 在这间Apartment Complex住了近两年, 住进的时候在profile填了车的基本情况. 这儿管理极差, 很多东欧人每天无所作为的赛车, 在停车场旁草坪烤全羊, 大声放音乐(听说他们是难民, 美国每月固定给钱), 跟Office讲也没用. 因本人是穷学生一名, 这儿租金便宜, 本想忍忍读完就算. 去年12月, 我在网上卖掉了自己的旧车, 还因为卖车, 专门大修了700. 谁知买主取车的时间一拖再拖, 直至今年一月, 他打电话说肯定来取车, 我随后就去DMV去掉了车的license plate (也怪自己没经验, 不该这么早去掉). 可买主突然说忙, 又不来了. 此后多次试图联系买主, 均不成. 加上很多旧住户说Apartment从来不清车, 我也没想太多. 到二月份, 这儿大雪都覆盖了车, 我不时看看车还在否. 突然二月中, 车不见了. 马上去Apartment Office, 等了半小时没人. 就照parking lot旁竖的牌上的towing company去了, 没找到车. 第二天去Office问, 被告知一个Auto part company (当时还没告诉我, 他们已经release车了, 还说我的车可以找回, 只是要给towing fee). 后又折腾了一天, 我才查到真相: Apartment他们发了一份statement of abandoned vehicle, Auto Part company就有权把车拖走, the car didn’t stay and has been recycled. 现在, 他们就咬定我的车是abandoned vehicle, 因为他们说放了一份notice在车上一个月. 而我根本没看到他们所谓的notice, 我的车型, 颜色, 住户中也就我一部, they did not try anything to find out the owner of the car. 我想sue他们, 但没什么proofs, most are just words of mouth, 就有title of my vehicle, 一些网上卖车的资料, 他们一直以来停车场停有几辆没license plate的破车的照片. 如果我做一个survey on the current tenants about the parking lot, 会有用么? Really don’t know how I can collect more evidence of proofs in my case; what is the probability of winning if I want to sue the apartment complex for the value of my vehicle? 知道自己弱女子, 很多不懂, 卖车又没经验, 请多指教, thanks in advance
