My wife got the same ticket, then went to court with a lawer provided by PrePaid legal service and won. She is a sfae driver and no tickets before.

We pay $17/month for Pre paid legal service, which is basicaly no use for serious stuff, but it DOES work for all traffic tickets. I never go to court, just email my tickt to them and they will handle it, for the last 3 tickets in the last years(STOP SIGN, NO HIGH LIGHT...), I paid a court fee which was a little less than the tickets, but no points and no time wasted!

I strongest recommend for teenage driver parents to have this service.
