Sorry I can not input Chinese. I moved to California 1.5 years ago with a valid driver license which will expire in 2005. I applied CA driver license at least 3 times, each time the DMV issued me a temporary driver's license which is good for 3 months. DMV works really slowly. However my California license was expired when I was involved in a car accident 2 months ago (not my fault, nobody injured), the policeman saw my other state's license and my California license. Then a month ago I went to DMV again and got a new California temporary license. Yesterday I received a letter from court said "driving without a driver license" and told me to go to court next month.
My questions are:
1. How should I defend for myself?
2. Will I be fined? How much usually for such case?
3. Will it have any bad effect on my greencard application?
Many thanks to everyone who give me suggestions! Wait on line for your help....
