not every company asks exact same questions....just sit tightly and do what you should do.... before they start to check your background, the company will usually have to ask you to fill in your employment history form, or something similar, for background checking which usually includes your salary history...you should be fine as long as you don't mess up the form....

But I understand your feeling as I have been there....good luck
