理财产品5-6% return per year,  in China, are they good and extremely safe?

My father said, some banks in China offer 理财产品, return 5-6% per year? 

Please comments, 1. are there chances of these banks in China go bankrupt?

2. are the returns guaranteed, principal guaranteed?
