如题， I-601 八月一号发出 到现在也没有收到Receipt Letter
The cheque for Application Fee is not cashed either.
I asked our lawyer to check, she went through the lockbox inquiry, but only got generic auto reply.
The interview at Consular in Montreal was on Dec. 15, 2021, the denial letter says that we have 1 year to take action. The 1 year deadline is approaching. I am really getting worried.
questions:
1. what to do next? our lawyer said she will do a duplicate filling, it has been a week since she said that, she has been non-responsive since then
-You may just wait for a few weeks to see whether your check is cleared (cahsed) by USCIS. Normally, it takes about 8 to 9 weeks for USCIS to send you the receipt notice in these days after they received your application, and it may take more time for some cases. You may track your packet whether it arrived at the USCIS Lockbox using the mail track#.
2. what to do if the 1 year deadline has passed, but I-601 has not been acknowledged by USCIS (meaning no receipt letter)?
3. could 1 year deadline be extended?
