我爸妈13年5月回国，后来我爸检查出癌症一直在国内治疗和调养，因为身体原因无法来美国。我妈由于要照顾我爸也没法来美国。现在我们在考虑怎么保留他们的绿卡。我听说有两个办法：
1.带好解释信和所有证明材料直接来美国。在机场移民官也许可以网开一面。如果不能，听说也不会直接遣返，而是让他们先进入美国然后几个月以内上移民法庭。是这样吗？每个州都有移民法庭吗？这种情况在移民法庭成功可能性有多大？
-Don't use this method. A lot of trouble/procedure will give your parents big pressure physically and mentally, especially they are old and have no lfie experience in US..
2.在美国领事馆申请特别移民签证 （"returning-resident SB-1 visa"），获准后返美。他们由于回中国的时候仓促来不及办理回美证，这样的话还可以申请特别移民签证吗？
--They have to go to the US Consulate in Guangzhou. If the SB-1 application is approved, then they will apply for the immigration visa at the same time in Guangzhou to enter US to reinstate their permanent resident status (green card).
如果不成功，会不会因为可能的移民倾向影响以后签旅游签证呢？（另外他们以前申请过一次回美证，在中国国内呆过一年半多）
-It may affect it, but hard to say. If B-2 denial, you may file I-130 for them to apply for the immigration visa.
3.听说还可以主动放弃绿卡，将绿卡交回美国领事馆,，由领事馆代为退回美国移民局，美国领事馆官员通常会同意给这类人士五年有效期的多次进出观光签证。是这样吗？
这是在申请旅游签证同时做的吗？
-Right, it is 10-year B-2 visa as other people normally do. Then, they can apply for the green card again under your sponsor as they did before if they want to. This is another choice because they normally will get the B-2 after giving up the green card.
