-No problem. If they get the B-2 visa, they need to bring the I-407 with them to enter US. This I-407 (application for abandonment of green card) will be stamped by the VO at the US Consulate and returned to your father/ mother, and it is considered as the proof of green card abandonment. Your father/mother needs to show their I-407 to the IO at the port of entry when they enter US. They also need to provide the copy of this I-407 if they file I-485 again to get a new green card.
