more questions on losing job, Xiaobaitu and other experts

Fist thank you all for providing information about the questions that i asked before.
Now I have severeal more questions:
1. After I get laid off, I still have 3 months suvillance pay. During these 3 months period, is my 485 still valid? My understanding is that my H1B will have to stop immediately but my 485 may be alive for a while.
2. I will use my 6 year H1B up next April. My lawyer will not help me with my H1B extension even though I got my 140 approved because he thinks that by the time I need extend my H1B, I have already been laid off. Is this true? Or I should change to another lawyer?
3. is there any way that I can get another H1B? For example, going back to school for another MS degree? Going back China for a couple of years?
