My two cents:

If you are only going to make cake, you don't really need a stand mixer, a hand mixer should be enough to do the job with a much cheaper price and a lot less space taken.
If you are going to make dough, I feel 275w might not be enough, depends how much you are kneading each time.
I won't buy any stand mixer from Halmiton beach, they make a lot of fashionable kitchen tools, not good in stand mixer. Hope this is helpful to you.
