I eat most is cream cheese, with bagels. In the party, make cheese balls.
1. Sweet one. soften cream cheese to room temperature. beat the cream cheese with sugar, mix it with fine chopped nuts. form a ball. Roll on some chopped nuts out side the ball again. Wrap it with plastic membrane. Leave in the refrigerator before serving.
2. Salt one. Mix the cheese with some finely chopped vegetables(without dropping water) and some Italian seasonings (dried leaves). Add some salt and pepper. Make a ball. Roll on evenly some Italian chopped parsley for westerners, or Chinese parsley (Xiang cai) , for Chinese. It is a lovely green "Feicui" ball. Serve with good crackers. Is that easy?
I made once when I was back in Shanghai. My family members love it. Finished the salt one. We all don't like sweet stuff too much.
