Got you, I was just mixing and not-matching for a quick shot, and there are some Korean Kimchee type bowls.I have to use flat plate when I am cutting my steak, anyway:)

Yes, square plate is beautiful, and solid color placemat is better, as a matter of fact, i just bought 8 light green bamboo placemats for $1 each today at body, bath and beyond, what a deal! you need to check it out if there is one near you:)
