蒲公英 = dandelion Both are from mustard family. Here in the States, most would treat both as weeds. They look similar, grow close to the ground.The flowers are very different. For chinese, english and japanese names of various herbals, here is a list: http://www.itjp.org/dic/hana.htm The first picture is matured 荠菜, the 2nd is a young one.
